Resident Engineer for rehabilitation and renewal works at Chileka Pumping Station
in Blantyre
A Civil Engineer is required for site supervision of rehabilitation and renewal works of a major water pumping station at Chileka in Blantyre. The works include:
Mechanical works: Replacement of pumping equipment and associated pipe works.
Electrical works: Installation of electrical appliances associated with the pumping equipment.
Civil works will mainly involve repairs of the existing structures and concrete work for pumps
and motors. Among other things, civil works shall involve face lifting of the whole pumping
station including repairs of paving slabs of the walkways, clear water reservoir buildings
and chambers as well as installation of drainage and ventilation systems.
